Schedule Change Information
Scheduling Errors
- Student has been scheduled into a course previously passed
- Student has been scheduled into a course out of sequence (i.e., Spanish 2 before Spanish 1)
- Senior is missing a requirement for graduation
- Missing an entire class period (not having 7 classes or missing a math class, for example)
Level Changes (moving from a Honors/AP (6.0/5.0) class to an on-level (4.0) class or vice versa)
- Adding a Honors or AP class: Students may move up a level at any time during the year with a parent signature.
- Dropping from a Honors/AP class: students may drop a level at any time prior to the first day of school. Once school has begun, students can only drop a level at the three-week, nine week, or semester mark.
Note: When a student changes from a Honors/AP to a level class during a semester, the exact numerical grade of the original class will transfer to the new class. The student will not receive weighted grade points as a result of the transfer. Grade points are not assigned until the final semester grade is tabulated
